For a medical student, planning to apply for an internship or job is a daunting task. Your resume needs to be concise, so what is most important to include?  In order to make your resume stand out and get on any employers short list, here are few tricks and tips for you to try.

Five resume tips for medical students are:

Educational Achievements: It is important to highlight your educational achievement

s in your resume. This can include your grades, GPA score, and any other educational activities you have participated in.

Scholarships: If you have been awarded any scholarships or grants, then be sure to mention it in your resume.  This may help boost your chances to get shortlisted.

Extracurricular Activities: Extracurricular activities play a major role in students’ resumes and should be highlighted.  This showcases your ability to be a team player as well as a leader.

Volunteering/ Internships: If you have done volunteer work or have held a previous internship, then make sure to mention this in your resume.  It will help you stand out from the crowd.

Unique Resume: Create a new resume for each job you are applying for.  This will showcase your creativity, research, and dedication toward the job you are applying for.
